When you signed up for the tourney, did u think you would win, the lineup was quite competitive.

Yeah the lineup was really competitive. I wasn’t sure about winning at all but I knew I was one of players fighting for the no1 spot, or at least top5. Since I don’t know that much about Russian players or there style it was really hard to see who would come out on top. I was really impressed with some of the Russian players!

Unfortunately. European Quake League season 7 is about to finish but for many people it was finished before it even started. Almost every point I made in my post “EQL to torture us again?” became reality. I am not proud that I was able to predict the outcome of the league, why? Because it was so damn obvious.

Having managed to reach two consecutive DreamHack dueling finals, as well as being one of the more prominent QuakeWorld players in general, LockTar was a fairly obvious pick to be video-interviewed at this summer’s DreamHack tournament. The second video interview was made with phil, who now traveled across the big pond in order to attend DreamHack for the second time too. The interviews were made by trito productions prior to the final game between Riker and LocKtar.

Despite the fact that DreamHack’s QW tournament was about to get canceled, it is very much happening right now. The tournament managed to attract staggering 16 competitors, which seems to be enough to please the organizers of this event. In the field of these 16 competitors we have some of the top names of QuakeWorld scene including the reigning champion, ParadokS.

Along with him there’s few familiar faces from the previous Dremhack tournament such as Bps, LocKtar, Nabbe, Riker and Inferno. With this lineup of players it seems like ParadokS might have good chances of getting some more loan from the Dreamhack. However in the mix of familiar faces, we also have one Dreamhack virgin who is no stranger to high level of QuakeWorld and that’s razor. Let’s see if he will be able to spice things up.
