Not using Linux as your main operating system.. duh? If you want to play most of the modern games its probably not for you. And guess what, Quake runs just fine on it. Other than that I don’t see why you should NOT use it. So hereby I invite the quake community to fetch the freshly released Ubuntu which should work better than ever. (read more..)
FFA/1on1/2on2 and 4on4 isn’t the only way to play QuakeWorld, there are lots of way to have fun in qw without even having any internet connection.
Some days ago I browsed the servers and noticed some random guy playing a map I din’t recognize called zediit. Curious as I am I quickly joined the server to find out what this noob was doing. To my surprise, the map was an awesome trick map which I later found myself trying to complete for over 2 hours.
The author of the level is zedii, I also found out that he had made another trick map called 2bfree. There has been a number of trickmaps available at servers a while but nothing like these two. The innovation and difficulty of these two maps really made me stuck for hours.
These maps are really fun and newthinking, for those who haven’t tried em’, im gonna write you a little review.

Haha more people should watch the “Who is this mawe film!” No but seriously tho, I did not consider myself as a favourite.
There has been a nice flow of activity lately (both qw.nu being relaunced and ezquake heavily developed), but they aren’t the only guys staying up at night working for the qw community.
